Kubota Tractor Corp.’s SVL95-2s compact track loader, which replaces the SVL90-2, offers greater multitasking capabilities, more powerful hydraulics, and a range of comfort upgrades, according to the company.

The SVL95-2s is powered by a turbocharged, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder diesel engine with a common rail system. The common rail system enables the Tier 4 Final engine to produce 96.4 gross hp.

“The new model features cab comfort upgrades to keep the operator in the seat longer,” said Jorge De Hoyos, Kubota senior product manager for skid steers and compact track loaders. “And, with an increase in operating capacity, the SVL95-2s offers 3,200 lbs. ROC [rated operating capacity], which is up 6% over the previous model. Plus, its five-way adjustable optional high-flow hydraulics allows it to quickly match the hydraulic flow requirements of any hydraulic attachment.”

Stronger Hydraulics, Triple Duty-Capable

With five hydraulic presets available for the operator to choose via an in-cab control, the SVL95-2s — when equipped with the optional high flow — is well suited for jobs that require running more than a single attachment.

The high-flow hydraulic system can be programmed and instantly adjusted at the push of a button. Flow rates can change from as little as five to as much as 40 gallons per minute — a 19% improvement over the previous model — and at line pressures of 3,553 PSI.

Operators can use up to three hydraulic circuits in parallel, controlling the loader, the bucket, and an auxiliary device such as an auger or drill. This makes the SVL95-2s capable of performing all three functions at once without sacrificing performance.

The unit features a bucket breakout force of 7,961 lbs. and a vertical lift designed to deliver a reach of 40.7 inches.

Fuel economy is another attribute. With a 28.8-gallon fuel tank and a 5-gallon diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank, the SVL95-2s can run a full eight- to 10-hour workday without needing to refuel and a four- to five-day workweek before a DEF tank refill is needed.

More In-Cab Comfort and Convenience

Inside the cab, the SVL95-2s offers such conveniences as push-button control for the optional high-flow hydraulics and a high-back suspension seat that provides greater support while minimizing fatigue. A wider entrance makes entering and exiting the cab easier, too.

“The hand/dial throttle control is conveniently located and allows the operator to easily match the engine speed to the task at hand,” De Hoyos explained. “It is optimal for jobs where constant engine speeds are necessary, such as when trenching or snow-blowing.”
