Fleet Manager Retires Shortly After DUI Arrest
MEMPHIS - Arthur Adams, fleet services manager for the City of Memphis General Services Division, retired June 14 after recently being charged with a DUI while driving a city vehicle, according to The Commercial Appeal.
MEMPHIS - Arthur Adams, fleet services manager for the City of Memphis General Services Division, retired June 14 after recently being charged with a DUI while driving a city vehicle, according to The Commercial Appeal.
Adams, 56, was arrested June 11 on charges of allegedly driving under the influence, reckless driving, and public intoxication. Adams went to City Hall June 14 and submitted his retirement papers, said city spokeswoman Tonya Meeks, reported the Appeal.
Adams had worked for the city since January 1973, serving most recently as fleet administrator in charge of city-issued vehicles, where he oversaw 178 employees.
