Atlanta Fleet Director Takes Larger Role in Fla. City
C.W. “Bill” Malcolm, CPFP, previously director of Fleet Services for the City of Atlanta, became the general services director at the City of Gainesville, Fla., in October 2013. He now oversees both fleet and facilities.

C.W. "Bill" Malcolm, CPFP, previously director of Fleet Services for the City of Atlanta, has taken on a larger role at the City of Gainesville, Fla., becoming its General Services director in October 2013. In this new role, Malcolm oversees the city’s 1,500 fleet assets as well as 100 facilities.
Malcolm said some of the projects he plans to focus on in Gainesville include expanding replacement criteria for the a fleet replacement program, evaluating chargeback rates and staffing levels, and initiating a facilities assessment to create a public facilities master plan. One of his first projects was moving the fleet into a new $10 million consolidated facility in October 2013.
In 2010, Malcolm was nominated for the Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year award.
