Meyer Products’ Elite line of spreaders for utility vehicles, mid-sized pickups, and cab and chassis trucks are designed to reduce maintenance and increase productivity. They are also safer, easier to use, and lighter, the company stated.
New design features include the addition of a tensioner to the drive chain, which eliminates frequent stops for adjustments; new sectional top screens that are easier to lift and remove; a spinner chute with a spring-loaded shaft connector to keep the spinner engaged; and formed handles and spring pins to make the product easy to attach or remove.
Safety features include a material top screen, enclosure for front bearing, drive chain guard, integrated fork-lift pockets, a work light, brake light, and a poly engine shroud with integrated gas springs.
The seven Elite models include the Elite-3-foot and 4-foot for utility vehicles, the Elite-6-foot and 8-foot stainless steel and 8-foot carbon steel for mid-sized pickup trucks, and the Elite-8-foot HC and 10-foot HC for cab and chassis trucks 2 tons and larger. Various motor options such as Honda or Briggs & Stratton gasoline, 12-volt dual-motor electric, or hydraulic are available on many models.
