Bobcat Company’s first R-Series excavators to launch are the Bobcat E32 and E35 in the popular 3- to 4-ton size class.
The E32 conventional tail swing excavator features a 24.8-hp Tier 4 diesel engine, operating weight of 7,340 lbs., and bucket breakout force of 6,968 lb.-ft. The zero tail swing E35 excavator features a 24.8 Tier 4 diesel engine or 33.5-hp Tier 4 diesel option, operating weight of 7,699 lbs. or 7,909 lbs., and bucket breakout force of 6,968 lb.-ft.
A standard dual-flange track roller system on both machines allows operators to dig with greater confidence over the side of the machine. The new rollers extend the excavator’s undercarriage structure closer to the track’s edge and provide up to a 15% increase in over-the-side capacity and more stability. The system also improves ride quality over bumpy jobsites.
A new, integrated rear counterweight design lowers the excavator’s center of gravity to further enhance machine stability. The design maintains wide-open access to the engine and daily maintenance checks. Operators have panoramic access to the engine and routine maintenance components.
For improved operator experience, the excavators feature windows with 15% more surface area for better visibility, 29% more floor space than previous models, wider seat and cab, automatic heat and air conditioning systems, and an easy-to-reach control pattern selector to allow quick switching from ISO to standard controls.
Additional R-Series excavators from Bobcat will be introduced at a later date.
