Caterpillar’s Waste Handler Track Loaders — the 953K WH, 963K WH, and 973K WH — feature Cat C7.1 ACERT (953K and 963K) and C9.3 ACERT (973K) engines delivering between 154 and 278 hp. The more fuel-efficient engines with ACERT technology and Eco Mode combine to give operators a 10-15% reduction in fuel use compared to previous models.
Applications include loading, sorting, excavation and spreading cover material for landfills and transfer stations. Added guarding and seals for waste handling make this a purpose-built machine for waste applications. Fleet managers can choose buckets and track shoes for optimization.
Cab updates provide added comfort and convenience for operators, and new handles and steps make access and egress easier from the front or back of the tracks.
