ALPHARETTA, GA – LeasePlan USA, a high-touch, premium fleet management services provider, announced that Washtenaw County has renewed its contract with the company. The County did so by taking advantage of LeasePlan’s contract with National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Member agencies, which provide vehicle maintenance and repair services with related equipment, supplies and services.
NJPA is a member-driven service cooperative with membership now exceeding 30,000 members. NJPA offers a multitude of products, equipment and service opportunities to education, government and other non-profit entities. The LeasePlan program allows NJPA members to acquire vehicle management services without conducting an RFP.
“Since partnering with LeasePlan five years ago to utilize the company’s maintenance and repair management program, we’ve been able to save nearly $500,000 per year in infrastructure and personnel costs. We have also reduced our maintenance cost per mile 37 percent by adhering to preventive maintenance schedules, which reduced major mechanical repairs. That savings, coupled with the fact that using the NJPA contract with LeasePlan keeps us from having to do an RFP, renewing our contract was a no-brainer,” said Bob Mossing, fleet manager for Washtenaw County.
