The City of Tulsa, Okla., Equipment Management Division was named the No. 1 fleet among the Leading Fleets at the Government Fleet Expo and Conference (GFX) on June 5.

"It's about all the people in our organizaton. It's about our asset management director Mark Hogan, who listens to what we need to do and he takes those messages out there and goes to administration and the executive management that helps us make that happen," said Mike Wallace, maintenance manager. He thanked his whole team, including administrative manager Brian Franklin, administrative supervisor John Reel (who was also present to accept the award), and everyone else working at the City of Tulsa Equipment Management Division.

Judges Craig Croner, Kelly Reagan, and Bob Stanton, as well as staff from Government Fleet and Ford and Geotab, the award sponsors, were on stage to congratulate the fleet.

Government Fleet and the American Public Works Association also named the No. 1 fleets in size categories — the No. 1 small fleet (499 or fewer assets) is the City of Dublin, Ohio, with 292 vehicles, and the No. 1 mid-size fleet (500-999 assets) is the City of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada with 941 units. The City of Tulsa is also the No. 1 large fleet (1,000 or more assets), with more than 3,100 vehicles.
