Philly Fleet Supervisor Pleads Guilty to Theft
A former fleet supervisor from the City of Philadelphia, Pa., has pleaded guilty to theft and conspiracy related to a $400,000 fraud scam.

A former fleet supervisor from the City of Philadelphia, Pa, has pleaded guilty to theft and conspiracy related to a $400,000 fraud scam. Robert Otterson also pleaded guilty to theft of city inventory, including car parts, according to Philly.com.
The city charged the former fleet supervisor and two body shop owners for the insurance fraud scam earlier this year. The district attorney accused Otterson of helping American Collision obtain a contract for body work by telling the owners how much they should bid, directed vehicles to the shop despite it being the secondary repair facility, and authorized inflated repair and labor costs. The DA also accused him of using the shop despite knowing it didn’t have required equipment.
The two body shop owners pleaded no contest and guilty to charges related to the city’s fraud case, Philly.com reported.
