The Oklahoma City Fire Department introduced the newest addition to its fleet, Haz-Mat 5, on July 29 on their official Facebook page.
"We don't run medical calls with it, but we do carry a few basic life support pieces of medical equipment just in case we need them at a hazardous materials scene. We run to structural fires, auto accidents, and anything under the sun in the haz-mat world to take care of situations like chemical and fuel spills. We also go with the bomb squad a lot on runs regarding suspicious packages," Lieutenant Brandon Rudek says in the video. The station formed a building committee so they could be more involved with the engineers in making decisions about the best way to store equipment.
