National Conference of State Fleet Administrators Offers Certified Fleet Manager Program

LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ — In cooperation with Kelly Walker Associates, the National Conference of State Fleet Administrators (NCSFA) has established a three-tier certified fleet manager program designed to meet the needs of fleet professionals at all levels of the public fleet operation.

LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ — In cooperation with Kelly Walker Associates, the National Conference of State Fleet Administrators (NCSFA) has established a three-tier certified fleet manager program designed to meet the needs of fleet professionals at all levels of the public fleet operation. The Professional Fleet Managers Certification Program consists of a self-study program with material furnished by NCSFA through Kelly Walker Associates and an open-book test. This level of certification is appropriate for those fleet professionals who are somewhat new to the business or who have responsibilities at the shop level. This program, including testing, will cost the participant approximately $450 for course material and $300 for testing material and certification processing. The Advanced Professional Fleet Managers Certification Program consists of completion of the basic certification program plus attendance at a Kelly Walker Associates 16-hour seminar in addition to the completion of a comprehensive open-book test. This level of certification is appropriate for those fleet professionals who have at least two years experience in fleet supervision and have responsibilities at the fleet manager level. This program, including testing, will cost the participant approximately $1,500 (including the cost of the basic certification program). The Master’s Professional Fleet Managers Certification Program consists of completion of the advanced certification program, plus extensive study in advanced fleet principles and concepts, the completion of a professional paper exploring a specific fleet management issue, and completion of a comprehensive open book test. This level of certification is appropriate for those fleet professionals who have at least five years experience in fleet management and have responsibilities at the fleet administrator level. This program, including testing, will cost the participant approximately $3,000 (including the cost of the advanced certification program).
