The City of Fayetteville, N.C., has one year to decide if it will terminate its fleet maintenance contract with the Fayetteville Public Works Commission (PWC), which has been performing the city’s maintenance work for at least 12 years, The Fayetteville Observer reported.
The utility gave city officials the one-year deadline just days after the City Council rejected the utility’s plan to outsource its parts management, which was projected to save $1 million annually.
