Mass. State Drivers Had 900 Crashes in 3 Years
Massachusetts state employees were involved in 931 crashes over a three year period that caused 187 injuries, according to a report by the Boston Herald.

Massachusetts state employees were involved in 931 crashes over a three-year period that caused 187 injuries, according to a report by the Boston Herald.
The crashes resulted in a cost of $724,345 to taxpayers and $1.1 million in total damages. State workers were at fault more often than not, according to the report that came as a result of a review of records from the Operational Services Division.
Drivers for the state's Department of Developmental Services, which provides support to people with intellectual disabilities, were involved in the most accidents with 395 crashes, according to the report. The agency was responsible for more than 40 percent of the crashes.
A DDS spokesperson told the Herald its drivers spend a significant time on the road.
