Government Fleet has four recalls to share that were announced in January 2023 that could impact your fleet. These recalls were first reported by Work Truck. Check to see if your vehicles are impacted below.
Chrysler Ram Promaster Chassis Cabs
Chrysler has recalled certain 2022 Ram Promaster Chassis Cab and incomplete vehicles equipped with an analog rearview camera. The analog rearview camera is the wrong type of camera and cannot be installed. Because of this, the vehicle fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility." Owners will receive a free digital rearview camera.
Lion Electric Company Lion 6 & Lion 8 Vehicles
Certain 2020-2022 Lion Electric Company Lion6 and Lion8 vehicles are also being recalled. The rear axle adjusting ring fasteners were not tightened properly on the passenger-side on the vehicles. This can cause premature wear on the suspension and differential components. Affected owners can get the fasteners inspected and tightened for free.
Altec DC & DM Series Digger Derrick Vehicles
Altec Industries has recalled certain 2022 DC & DM Series Digger Derrick vehicles. During production, an incorrect bolt may have been used to attach the Derrick rotation bearing. This can cause separation of the rotation bearing and increase risk of injury. Altec will inspect the bolt on affected vehicles and correct if needed.
