American Emergency Vehicles (AEV), a Halcore Group Inc. business, is recalling 140 2014-2015 model-year Trauma Hawk ambulances because the backup camera system may display images in reverse and confuse the driver.
The recall affects Trauma Hawk emergency vehicles manufactured from Dec. 1, 2014, through June 30 of this year.
Dealers will work with ASA Electronics to replace any camera system that’s not displaying images correctly. The recall was due to get under way Sept. 4.
Vehicle owners can reach AEV customer service at (800) 327-9749 or ASA customer service at (877) 384-4400.
AEV/Halcore’s number for the recall is 15E050.
