Paul Condran, fleet services/facility manager for the City of Culver City, Calif., has announced that he will retire on July 2.
Condran has led the city fleet to become the No. 1 fleet in 2013 and the No. 1 Green Fleet in 2009. He earned the 2014 Public Sector Fleet Manager of the Year award and was inducted into the Public Fleet Hall of Fame in 2016. The fleet was also named an Elite Fleet for five consecutive years.
“There are no secrets to success; don’t waste time looking for them,” Condran said. “Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty to those for whom you work, and persistence.”
Condran plans to take a vacation, and then resume working in the fleet industry.
The city will undergo a national recruitment to hire a new fleet manager. The Culver City fleet consists of 580 vehicles, including transit, fire, police, refuse, public works, and parks vehicles and equipment. It is staffed by 50 employees who work at one maintenance facility.
