Connecticut Signs on with Chevin Fleet Solutions
The State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services recently selected Chevin’s Web-based fleet management information system, FleetWave, to better manage its fleet of more than 7,000 units.
The State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services recently selected Chevin’s Web-based enterprise fleet management information system, FleetWave, to enable the Fleet Operations Division to more effectively manage the state’s fleet of more than 7,000 units.
The Connecticut Fleet Operations Division provides vehicles and related services to 70 state agencies and universities across the state, providing comprehensive fleet services that include:
Vehicle procurement, delivery and disposal
Internal service fund billing
Maintenance and repair services
Fuel management and support through 60 DOT fuelling sites
Daily rental and mileage reporting
Fleet safety services
Using FleetWave’s flexible and scalable capabilities, Connecticut will replace its inflexible and non-integrated systems with a fully integrated enterprise fleet management information system. With FleetWave in place, the Fleet Operations Division will offer its remote state agencies and individual drivers a holistic view of all fleet related information in a single centralized system, allowing the organization to dramatically improve fleet utilization and reduce operating costs.
FleetWave’s flexible capabilities will allow the State of Connecticut to meet these diverse requirements and provide the necessary controls to drive ongoing efficiencies and proactive visibility and transparency over the state’s diverse fleet.
Commenting on FleetWave’s recent signing, Ron Katz SVP of North American Sales, said: “The State of Connecticut provides a wide range of essential services to almost 4 million residents, businesses and visitors. Many of these services would be impossible to conduct without the support of the Fleet Operations Division. That’s why ensuring fleet operations are as effective and efficient as possible in order to continually reduce cost, promote safety, compliance and high standards of service delivery to its citizens. Embracing technology to support these objectives by implementing FleetWave will put the State of Connecticut at the forefront of innovation for government fleet management organizations.”
