Geotab Inc. announced an expansion of its cooperative purchasing contracts with Sourcewell and Canoe Procurement Group to include additional telematics and data products. Geotab said the updated contracts are intended to streamline procurement for public sector agencies seeking tools for driver safety, asset tracking, and transportation planning.

“Public sector fleets face unique challenges, from managing diverse assets to planning for future infrastructure needs,” said Neil Garrett, associate vice president of business development, government at Geotab. He said the added products are intended to address safety and planning needs through Sourcewell purchasing.

Products Added To Cooperative Purchasing Contracts

Geotab said the cooperative contracts now include the following solutions:

• GO Focus: A road-facing AI dashcam with event-based recording and secure data handling intended to provide safety insights and support fleet safety operations.

• GO Focus Plus: A road- and driver-facing dashcam with AI detection and in-cab feedback intended to address risks such as distracted driving.

• GO Anywhere: An asset tracking device designed for non-powered or intermittently used equipment such as trailers, generators, and other assets to support utilization monitoring and theft recovery.

• Altitude by Geotab: A transportation data and analytics platform that uses anonymized, aggregated commercial vehicle data from more than 5.7 million vehicles to provide mobility insights for infrastructure and freight planning, congestion reduction, and federal reporting.

• Geotab Routing & Optimization: A routing tool that uses a proprietary algorithm to generate routes based on factors such as distance, time windows, and cost.

Security And Public Sector Use

Geotab said it continues to support government fleet customers through its telematics security framework and procurement options. The company cited FedRAMP authorization and ISO 27001 certification for its telematics platform and said its cryptographic module has achieved FIPS 140-3 validation from the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS).

Geotab also referenced the reaffirmation of a telematics contract with the General Services Administration and said it has reached one million public sector subscriptions.
