Blossman Gas has hired two new associates to lead their efforts in the municipal and law enforcement market, as well as the sales of small engines.
Blossman has hired Michael Phillips as it municipal/law enforcement specialist. Phillips retired after a 26-year law enforcement career that he ended as captain of criminal enforcement with the Irendell County (N.C.) Sheriff's Office. Phillips will represent Alliance Autogas, a Blossman-operated network.
While at the sheriff's office, Phillips served as director of special projects and grant writing management. He project that converted 30 patrol vehicles to the bi-fuel Prins system earned the 2012 North Carolina Mobile Clean Air Renewable Energy (CARE) award from the North Carolina Solar Center.
Blossman also named Alex Catchings as its director of sales for small engine systems. Catchings will develop sales in the golf and lawn care industries, as well as for other small engine applications. Prior to his new role, Catchings was affiliated with AltFuel, a manufacturer of alternative fuel systems.
