JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FL – Mayor Fland Sharp is calling for a detailed review of all public service vehicles that travel on the beach after an officer in a police sport/utility vehicle ran over and critically injured a 41-year-old woman lying on the sand May 1, according to Jacksonville.com. Anne Marie Giffin, of Jacksonville, had critical injuries, including a head wound and broken bones in her chest and pelvis after she was run over by the police Chevrolet Trailblazer while sunbathing, reported Jacksonville.com.
