WASHINGTON – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that Altec is recalling 205 model-year CFD 127 wood chippers, manufactured between May 2011 and September 2012.
According to NHTSA, the wood chipper blades were not made to meet hardness specifications and the blades could potentially separate from the machine. Altec will notify customers and replace the blades, free of charge. Chipper owners can contact Altec at 1-205-408-8627.
