Benjamin Beck says Kubota has long provided versatile and rugged vehicles, and that is especially reflected in its lineup of utility vehicles and the RTV Series.

“The success of the RTV Series lends itself to its robust diesel engine and sealed components,” said Beck, who is product marketing specialist, utility vehicles, for Kubota. Beck noted those features make it a reliable utility vehicle and added that the RTV-X1140 is the most versatile vehicle in Kubota’s lineup.

With Kubota’s K-Vertible cargo conversion system, the RTV-X1140 converts from a four-passenger vehicle to a two-passenger vehicle with an extra-large cargo bed and a high amount of cargo capacity.

New Features Aid Durability, Lower Costs

The company highlights the vehicle’s sealed components, noting the feature is noticeable in the transmission and brakes. The VHT-X Variable Hydraulic Transmission is completely sealed from the elements, keeping debris from entering the transmission and helping it last for the life of the vehicle.

The RTV-X1140’s standard multi-wet disc brakes are also completely sealed, leading to less wear, longer life, and a lower cost of ownership.

Additional features are the RTV-X1140’s 24.8-hp liquid-cooled diesel engine and a variable hydraulic transmission that offers wide torque band and large oil cooler.

The RTV-X1140 also comes standard with a hydraulic dump bed, providing 19.1 cubic feet/9.9 cubic feet capacity for the two-seat and four-seat configurations, respectively.

Comfort Features

The vehicle includes front and rear independent suspension on all four wheels for enhanced drivability and handling in most off-road conditions.

The company designed the split-bench style seat ergonomically for a smooth ride. The RTV-X1140 also provides a digital meter cluster with easy-to-read indicators of speed, hours, and miles traveled to inform the operator of driving conditions.
