South Greenville Fire District Receives Truck for Community Outreach
A new medium-duty truck will help the South Carolina fire district transport equipment, educational materials, and displays to community events. The vehicle adds dedicated transportation capacity for fire prevention programs and public engagement outside the district's stations.

Isuzu's donation comes as the company prepares to begin assembling commercial trucks at a new $280 million, 1-million-square-foot manufacturing facility in Piedmont, South Carolina.
Isuzu North America Corporation
The South Greenville Fire District in South Carolina received a new Isuzu N-Series NRR truck to support its community outreach, fire safety education, and public engagement programs. The truck was donated by Isuzu North America Corporation
This donation will help the district transport materials, equipment, and educational displays to schools, neighborhood programs, and community events throughout southern Greenville County.
Equipping the Truck for Community Programs
The donated truck is built on an Isuzu NRR Class 5 chassis with a gross vehicle weight rating of 19,500 pounds. Its low cab-forward configuration provides a compact design intended to improve maneuverability and visibility.
Morgan Truck Body manufactured the truck's body at its Orrville, Ohio, facility using the company's lightweight Morgan Plate sidewall material. The vehicle is also equipped with a PALFINGER Interlift liftgate to help load and unload equipment and displays.
Together, these features will allow the district to transport materials needed for community events and educational programs without relying on vehicles assigned to other functions.
Expanding Community Risk Reduction Efforts
South Greenville Fire District serves approximately 83 square miles of southern Greenville County and operates seven fire stations. In addition to fire suppression, emergency medical response, and rescue services, the district provides community risk reduction programs focused on public safety and prevention.
"This truck gives our district another valuable tool for reaching people beyond the fire station and strengthening connections between firefighters and the people they serve," said South Greenville Fire District Chief Adam Harbert.
