The City of Kent, Wash., is rushing the purchase of 22 new police SUVs at a cost of $1.3 million — 14 of these vehicles are fleet additions, part of a new car-per-officer take-home program, according to the Kent Reporter.

Kent Police is rushing to purchase these vehicles on the state contract to save an estimated $3,000 per vehicle before costs go up.
