Southern California government fleets recently had a unique experience to participate in a Ford Hybrid Interceptor Training at the County of Los Angeles Public Works facility. Made possible by a grant and hosted by Long Beach Clean Cities and MEMA, the three-day training included hands-on learning to better understand the function of the hybrid system and how to use the diagnostic tools to facilitate repairs.

Dave Hobbs, senior technical trainer and curriculum developer (Delphi Technologies Aftermarket) at BorgWarner Inc. headed up the training. During the three days, technicians were taught about testing and diagnostics, fault code troubleshooting, no start diagnostics, and high voltage safety precautions.
