Ford Motor Company has recalled approximately 31,339 2022-2023 Transit vehicles due to an issue that could cause the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) system's controls to become inoperative, including those for defogging and defrosting.

Dealers will update the remote climate control module software in the affected vehicles, free of charge.

Owner notification letters were expected to be mailed on November 7, 2022.
