The Virginia Sheriffs’ Association (VSA) has awarded Stertil-Koni, a Buy America company, a new purchasing contract for vehicle lifts and garage-related equipment.

The contract, #23-04-0713, is effective through August 14, 2023 and includes Stertil-Koni’s full line of heavy-duty vehicle lifts, related accessories, and shop equipment. This adds to Stertil-Koni’s growing range of cooperative purchasing programs that make the company’s heavy-duty lifting systems, accessories, and shop equipment available for purchase to customers via a centralized process, according to a press release.

“The goal of VSA’s Heavy Equipment Procurement Program is to establish cooperative contracts for use by public bodies in the Commonwealth that achieve competitive pricing on equipment that county and city government agencies purchase," the VSA website said.

In Virginia, Stertil-Koni’s products are sold and serviced by Alan Tye & Associates (ATA). Based in Fairfax, Virginia, and serving Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, DC, Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia, ATA provides sales, installation, and service on a full range of vehicle service equipment. The company also operates one of the largest service organizations for heavy-duty shop equipment in the region, according to Stertil-Koni.

“Stertil-Koni is proud to be of service to the Virginia Sheriffs’ Association and to provide the Commonwealth of Virginia our state-of-the-art heavy duty vehicle lifts, accessories, shop equipment – all combined with the highest level of service -- to maximize safety and vehicle uptime," Dr. Jean DellAmore, president of Stertil-Koni, said.

VSA represents 95% of the 123 sheriff’s offices in Virginia with more than 9,200 sheriff, deputy and sheriff’s office staff members with law enforcement, jails, court services and civil process responsibilities.
