The City of Hot Springs, Arkansas, is struggling to purchase new vehicles due to supply chain interruptions and high vehicle demand. It’s looking to fill 19 vehicles budgeted in 2020 and 2021, but local dealerships don’t have the vehicles it needs, and they’re not even available on the state contract, the Hot Springs Sentinel-Record reported.

However, it has found a solution. The city has received authorization to purchase off the state Department of Transportation contract and expects to be able to acquire vehicles this way.
