The Greensboro, N.C., Police Department announced the arrival of their newest urban response vehicle on Dec. 9 via a Facebook post. The golf cart-esqe six-seated vehicle was donated by the Greensboro Police Foundation.

According to a report from Fox 8 News, it's intended to provide the public with a chance to walk up and make conversation without a physical barrier between them and the officers.

The vehicle cost $21,000 and is believed to come in handy at large events when officers find it difficult to be in their regular cars.
