WASHINGTON, D.C. — Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. has been awarded a multi-year exclusive contract by the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to provide hazardous and regulated waste management solutions, according to Recycling Today. Under this national agreement, Safety-Kleen will be the only authorized national company to pro-vide oil collection and re-refining for more than 1.5 million gallons of motor oil; parts cleaning and solvent disposal services; containerized waste management, including oil filter recycling and disposal of absorbent materials; and vacuum services for separators, drains, and trenches. Safety-Kleen will service approximately 750 postal facilities that generate hazardous and other regulated wastes, according to Recycling Today. These locations support more than 37,000 individual offices across the United States.
