CINCINATTI – Drive Train Systems, a division of parent company Drive Train Industries, has released its video-based air brake training solutions. These training systems have been developed to train operators on how to safely drive air brake-equipped fire apparatus. Since the number two cause of death of firefighters is auto accidents, according to the company, this system is an affordable way to educate operators on air brake systems. One of the key benefits of this type of training is that not all drivers have to complete the course at the same time. The courses are broken out into four distinct categories. The training system is a comprehensive package that will provide the initial information and then test drivers on retention. Operators are given a test at the end of each category. Those who successfully pass all of the tests are given a certificate that can be carried in the wallet. Licensing and availability Drive Train Systems video training is now available at an MSRP of $399 per kit with volume discounts available.
