Connecticut-based Terex Corp. has acquired the assets of Dueco, Inc., a Wisconsin company that sells and services utility trucks. Dueco is the distribution and service arm for Terex products in 17 states.
The acquisition gives Terex a footprint of more than 700 technicians and 56 service locations.
“Dueco has been a major part of our business for the past 55 years," said Don Anderson, vice president and general manager of Terex Utilities. "We are very happy to have the opportunity to bring their entrepreneurial spirit and customer responsiveness into our organization."
Both companies have sold utility equipment and services to fleets for more than 60 years. Terex introduced the hydraulic digger derrick to the electric utility market in 1945, and Dueco was founded in 1955.
Fleet customers "will benefit further from the unified team working with a streamlined sales and service pipeline with a more focused approach and expanded solutions," according to a Terex release.
