HUNTSVILLE, AL – The Tennessee Highway Patrol will be deploying a state-wide computer aided dispatch solution by Intergraph Public Safety. The system has already been in use in several districts, but is now being expanded to the entire state. Don Baisden, director of Information Systems for the Tennessee Department of Safety, said the computer system will increase operational efficiencies and safety. The program will collect all roadside data and give law enforcement officers real-time information about the status of vital incidents. It is also expected to provide opportunities for multi-agency support.
