RALEIGH, NC - The City of Raleigh’s proposed capital improvement program for 2012 includes a number of projects designed to improve and renovate existing facilities, one of which is a remote operations center that would include an area for the City’s Vehicle Fleet Services division, according to a news release on the City’s website.
Other City departments that would have operations in this building would include Street Maintenance, Building Maintenance, and Parks Maintenance. It would also be used to provide space for emergency storm operations.
The total cost for this remote operations center would be $42,510,864, according to the City’s capital improvement plan.
The City stated it uses a variety of funding options for the delivery of its capital improvement program. Funding sources could include the City’s half-cent local option sales tax, grants, Federal and State Stimulus Funds, Certificates of Participation, General Fund transfers, Interlocal Agreement funding, and General Obligation Bonds.
