In his first press conference at the executive mansion, Acevedo Vila said the vehicles that are not used will be turned over to the police. “The assistants to the governor will not have official vehicles,” the governor said. He said that advisers to La Fortaleza who need transportation to the Capitol or governmental agencies will use the so-called “pool” of cars for the executive mansion. The cut in the vehicle fleet will reduce costs from $288,258 to $138,380 annually.
