The Propane Mower Incentive Program has doubled its original incentive for fleet managers and contractors from $1,000 to $2,000 for purchasing a propane-fueled mower by the end of the year.
Those interested can earn $2,000 toward the purchase of a new propane-powered mower and $1,000 toward a qualified conversion. In return they must provide to the Propane Education & Research Council feedback and performance data for one mowing season.
Since the start of the program two years ago, more than 500 people have taken advantage of these incentive dollars, like the City of Columbus who purchased 14 propane autogas-powered mowers through the former PERC Incentive Program.
EPA and CARB certified propane-powered mowers and conversion kits from top manufacturers are available.
PERC is celebrating the increased incentive through a “Double Your Money” promotion at GIE+EXPO. Attendees who visit Toro’s or Exmark’s outdoor booth will get a chance to win a propane grill, $500 Visa gift card, or a $1,000 Visa gift card.
