Pandemic Problems Free Up Funds for Police Vehicle Purchases
The West Fargo, North Dakota, Police Department's unused funds will be used to purchase three patrol vehicles and two unmarked detective cars.

The West Fargo, North Dakota, Police Department is replacing some of its aging police vehicles with surplus funding that came from unused salaries from delayed hiring, cancelled in-person training, and unneeded supplies because of the pandemic, according to Inforum.
The Police Department had $600,000 in unused funds, and some of this will be used to purchase three patrol vehicles and two unmarked detective cars. Funding the vehicles this year will reduce the department’s vehicle replacement needs in 2022.
