The New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) has reported record revenue from its fleet in FY-2018, bringing in $11.65 million thanks to a series of initiatives aimed at improving fleet efficiency. This is $3 million more revenue than the previous fiscal year and $1 million more the previous best year.
According to the city’s fleet newsletter, the city achieved its best year ever in auctions and claims (when city vehicles are damaged by private cars), bringing in the best per-vehicle auction returns and nearly tying its best per-claim performance.
