The Greenville Fire/Rescue Department of Greenville, N.C., announced the arrival of a new purple and gold fire engine during the first week of August as a part of the city's vehicle replacement plan, according to a recent Facebook post. It will replace the current purple and gold fire engine, which will become part of the reserve fleet.
According to the post, the interesting color combination is the result of a long-term collaboration between the city and East Carolina University.
