Maintenance Design Group (MDG), specializing in planning and design for transportation maintenance facilities, has expanded its service offerings to include mechanical and electrical engineering and plumbing (MEP) design. This additional scope of work is a natural expansion of the firm’s current services.  Because of the equipment-intensive nature of maintenance facilities and the specialized requirements for process piping, power, lighting, ventilation, and alternative fuels impacts on these systems, the firm’s design scope is already deeply intertwined with the MEP systems — so much so, that much of what Maintenance Design Group does informs the MEP design of these buildings.

"Providing in-house MEP engineers that, like our facility designers and planners, are the national maintenance facility experts, offers our clients a much more holistic, integrated facility," stated Don Leidy, managing principal of MDG.
