L.A. Sheriff Sets 2016-MY Testing
The 41st annual testing event has been scheduled for Oct. 22 in Fontana, and will include presentations from the three Detroit automakers as well as Federal Signal Corp., which produces lightbars and other vehicle accessories.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department will test 2016 model year vehicles available to law enforcement agencies at its annual vehicle testing and product expo event in southern California on Oct. 22, the agency has announced.
The 41st annual testing event has been scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, and will include presentations from the three Detroit automakers as well as Federal Signal Corp., which produces lightbars and other vehicle accessories.
The event includes presentations such as "Chevrolet Law Enforcement Vehicles" by Dana Hammer, GM's fleet and commercial manager for law enforcement vehicles; "Fiat Chrysler Automobiles: Safety, Performance, and Reliability" by David Callery, FCA's program manager for law enforcement and emergency response vehicles; :2016 Model Ford Police Interceptors" by Ford's police interceptor team members; and "The Science Behind Emergency Vehicle Warning Systems and the Regulations That Govern Their Use" by Joe Bader, Federal Signal's vice president and general manager of the company's public safety division.
The agency will test patrol sedans, pursuit SUVs, and motorcycles. The testing lineup is expected to include many of the vehicles offered to agencies in the 2015 model year.
