Danville City Commissioners in Kentucky voted to lease fleet vehicles as part of a deal that's expected to save the city $570,000 over 10 years, reports The Advocate-Messenger.

Under this agreement, the city plans to replace 42 of its oldest vehicles and lease replacements through Enterprise Fleet Management. It will continue replacing old vehicles until all 92 fleet vehicles are leased. Early projections show the city saving about $57,000 a year over 10 years before leveling out to $48,000 of annual savings. These savings would mostly come from lower maintenance and fuel costs from having newer vehicles.
