Government Fleet Sales Rise 16.3%
Sales of fleet vehicles to government agencies strengthened in October, and are now 9.5% higher through 10 months of 2014 when compared to a year ago.

Sales of fleet vehicles to government agencies strengthened in October, and are now 9.5% higher through 10 months of 2014 when compared to a year ago.
Sales of fleet vehicles from nine OEMs rose 16.3% in October with relative strength in both the passenger car and truck/SUV segments. Government agencies ordered 21.5% more passenger cars and 14.7% more trucks and SUVs, including full-size vans.
So far this year, the nine OEMs have sold 214,547 fleet vehicles to government agencies compared with 195,866 a year ago. The increase of 18,681 represents a 9.5% increase.
In September, government fleet sales rose 17.3%. Through nine months, sales were up 8.8%.
