The Government Fleet Expo & Conference (GFX) opens today in Denver with record registration numbers and a sold-out exhibit hall. The event, which runs through Thursday, is at the Colorado Convention Center.
This year’s show starts with an opening keynote by Tammy Rimes, procurement consultant, who will speak about how fleet and purchasing can work together. This is followed by an opening networking reception later tonight.
Those who arrive early can attend a full day of pre-conference sessions and activities beginning at 8:15 a.m. These include a facility tour of the Denver International Airport (pre-registration required) and a series of educational panels led by the Municipal Equipment Maintenance Association (MEMA). MEMA has confirmed that representatives from Caterpillar, John Deere, and Freightliner will be talking about their new products, and other panel topics include shop productivity, hiring for the future, and innovative fleet solutions.
Throughout the show, there will be 14 educational sessions and numerous networking events for fleet managers to learn from their peers. In addition, The Honors Celebration will be held on Weds., when Government Fleet will announce the winners of various awards programs.
