The Government Fleet Expo & Conference (GFX) opens today in San Antonio with a record-breaking number of public fleets expected to attend. The event, which runs through Thursday, takes place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

The day starts at 9 a.m. with several pre-session activities, including a a fleet facility tour from the City of San Antonio and a series of educational sessions hosted by the Municipal Equipment Management Association, covering sustainability, certification, and best practices.

Later in the day, Mike Wiederkehr from the City of Glendale, Calif., will officially kick off GFX with the opening keynote presentation, discussing the benefits of using multiple leadership styles, followed by the opening networking reception sponsored by GovPlanet.

Educational sessions and the exhibit hall open on Tuesday. The full schedule is available on the GFX website.
