Adomani
Adomani provides patented all-electric or hybrid conversions to fleets, with public fleet financing options available. Adomani takes out the gas or diesel engine block and puts in an electric engine, while all other parts remain standard. A battery pack is then placed in the bed of the truck, with either 30-mile or 60-mile range packs available. For the hybrid system, only the driveshaft is switched out to an electric system. The systems can be installed in less than one day.

Agile Access Control is offering fleet managers the new FleetCommander 4.9 software, which focuses on three aspects to managing a motorpool. First, the system provides straightforward scheduling. Secondly, it offers several ways that a vehicle can be checked out, whether it's a people-based solution or the keys can be kept in a secure key box. The key box acts as a kiosk for users to login to check out a vehicle. Finally, the new solution from FleetCommander allows users to scan their badge to unlock and lock the vehicle. Reports are also available so a fleet can track its vehicle utilization, hour-by-hour.
ARI has a new “insights” system, which allows the companies to monitor all their company’s almost 1 million vehicles worldwide. It notifies them of everything from vehicles needing maintenance to drivers missing emails. The innovative technology is a first for fleet management companies, one that analyzes millions of data points 3,600 times faster than traditional technologies. The different buttons on the fleet overview include performance, fuel, eco, inventory, licensing, compliance, and more.
Heil’s DuraPack 5000 features the only robotically welded and fully welded interlaced subframe in a refuse collection truck. In the company's strive for maximum performance, Heil’s engineers decided to incorporate a “high cylinder mount into a compact design with a short overhang to maximize forward loading” of the body and payload. It is also designed to last much longer since it has no rollers, slides, or slide shoes that could wear out. Heil focuses on having engineers that make sure every design makes the system easier to maintain.
INVERS Mobility Solutions is offering intelligent software and hardware telematics systems for private and public sector fleet operations as well as car sharing organizations worldwide. With many unique tools for fully automated vehicle fleet management, an organization can discover new levels of productivity. The tools include 24/7 online vehicle reservation, cost-saving fleet analyisis, trip data recording and cost assignment to departments, projects, and drivers. Lucid has released what it is calling the industry’s “most efficient, robust, and secure all-Satellite GPS Tracking Solution.” It allows users to define speed zones, set speeding and idle alerts, and create multi-dimensional geofences and boundaries for drivers. Lucid says the efficiency of the system is what makes it special to other ones in the industry. The LL AMS-500i Modem integrates with Lucid’s groundbreaking, web-based portal called the Asset Intelligence Center (AIC).
Frank Schieber, NexTraq field marketing manager, was at GFX this year to answer any questions about its new safety-focused features.
A GPS fleet tracking system, NexTraq provides a cloud-based service that “optimizes fleet operations while reducing operating costs and increasing revenue.” NexTraq is now providing driver scorecards and is emphasizing features that help ensure a safe fleet. A new report available allows fleet managers to look at safety "trends," and which drivers need additional driver training and in what areas. The other notable features from NexTraq is scheduling, routing, and dispatching systems and its integrated DriveGuard, which prohibits or limits cell phone use in the vehicle.
Planet Halo Inc. introduced its PH4 in-vehicle surveillance system that can capture high-resolution recordings of activity in a vehicle. Features include the ability to port up to four cameras to a single base unit. Vehicle position with elevation and speed is tracked at every coordinate via Google Earth. Battery discharge protection is included to view the last few seconds of recording, in the event of a power cutoff to the camera. G-sensors track driving behavior, and GPS accelerometers show how fast the vehicle is traveling.
PropertyRoom.com’s new Yellow Iron auction program for heavy-duty equipment works to make the process of re-deployment easier and more successful with higher returns for its users. Property Room does a lot of the work for you, according to the company. All Property Room asks for are photos (up to 25) and an equipment condition description. Then, the website produces “specialized marketing pieces” that it distributes to possible buyers. Once the auction is complete and funds are collected, your agency will negotiate title, and registration transfer and vehicle delivery.
