Nominations for the 2014 Public Fleet Hall of Fame are now being accepted and are due Monday, March 31. The award is sponsored by the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA).

Government Fleet’s Public Fleet Hall of Fame members are recognized industry leaders and pioneers who have contributed significantly to the public fleet management profession. Eligible nominees must have at least 20 years of experience in the public fleet management profession. At least 10 of these years must have been spent working for a public fleet or a private company contracted to manage a public fleet. Nominees do not have to be currently working in a public fleet to be nominated.

The Public Fleet Hall of Fame will be established in 2014 with 10 founding Hall of Fame members. Honorees will be chosen by a combination of industry professionals via an online ballot and Government Fleet staff. In 2015, eight veterans will be inducted, followed by six in 2016, four in 2017, and three in 2018. Thereafter, three honorees will be inducted in the Fleet Hall of Fame annually. Of the 10 inductees, one exceptional fleet professional will be chosen to receive the Legendary Lifetime Achievement Award, also sponsored by NJPA.

The recipients of these awards will be recognized at the Government Fleet Expo & Conference (GFX), which will take place in San Diego June 2-4.
