Geotab's telematics platform has achieved a security validation from the federal goverment known as FedRAMP Ready status. The company is now listed on the FedRAMP Marketplace website.

FedRAMP, the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, is a federal program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring of cloud products and services. Companies attaining this status are recognized as utilizing best-in-class security policies and technologies for their cloud and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.

"Geotab's unwavering commitment to rigorous organizational data security measures is reflected in the achievement of our FedRAMP Ready status,” said Alan Cawse, Geotab's chief security officer. "This is the first step towards achieving the nation's first GSA-sponsored Authority to Operate for telematics, making Geotab's products and services available across the federal fleet."

Earlier this year, Geotab announced that it was awarded the largest telematics contract in history by the U.S. General Services Administration. It was also the first telematics company to receive FIPS 140-2 validation under a cryptography standard for its GO8 plug-in device.
