The South Fulton, Georgia, Police Department will get its first fleet of brand new vehicles. The city was founded in 2017 and received its current emergency equipment from Fulton County, according to a document presented to the city council. The current fleet consists of older Ford and Dodge vehicles with high mileage, which require constant maintenance.
WXIA reports that the South Fulton City Council approved the purchase of 30 2022 Ford Police Interceptor Utility Vehicles, as well as associated costs for radio communications, video cameras, upfitting, and decals. The department will have $2.1 million to use for the vehicles, according to the memorandum.
