A Jackson County, Ga., prison inmate has escaped from outside grounds detail at the county fleet maintenance shop, the Georgia Department of Corrections announced.
Law enforcement statewide are on the lookout for Marcus Mahaffey, who was last seen getting into a silver sedan wearing a state-issued orange shirt and white pants with a blue stripe.
Mahaffey was incarcerated for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, WGXA reported.
